Job description

We’re seeking an Engineering Manager in Bangalore, India, to take on and provide technical leadership to major projects, but also manage a team of engineers. You not only optimize your own code but make sure engineers are able to optimize theirs. You will manage your project goals, contribute to product strategy and help develop your team.

You will work all across the company, in areas such as information retrieval, artificial intelligence, natural language processing, distributed computing, large-scale system design, networking, security, data compression and user interface design.



• Engage, mentor and manage a team of software engineers, including task planning and code reviews.

• Have technical ownership of the product.

• Build a strong engineering culture at Vahan.

  • Commensurate with experience (cash + bonus + equity) 

Job requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related technical discipline or equivalent practical experience
  • 5-8 years of relevant work experience, including technical management of software developers and system administrators/architects
  • Experience designing and implementing distributed systems
  • Experience in leading highly complex, technically challenging, crossfunctional software oriented projects from inception to delivery
  • Track record of individual technical achievement
  • Excellent coding skills (language agnostic)
  • Passion for creating large-scale positive impact on people’s lives
  • Strong sense of ownership and determination to get things done
  • Humility and eagerness to learn and grow
