Job description

At Vahan, we’re helping 300M+ low-skilled workers in India find jobs using WhatsApp. We’re a Y Combinator company that is backed by marquee investors such as Khosla Ventures and Founders Fund; several executives from Google and Flipkart are also investors in the company.

 

We are looking for an experienced program lead in Bangalore, India to manage the growth and optimization of the job seeker (supply) network associated with the Vahan platform. The role will focus on acquisition strategy & engagement of low-skilled workers in the blue-collar/ grey collar space (for eg. drivers & delivery professionals, BPO/ Tele-calling/ data entry, house-keeping & support staff, field sales etc.)

 

The individual will need to develop scalable teams and processes to acquire and engage new job seekers. This requires a commitment to operational excellence,  strong target oriented mindset, managing large team as well as creative thinking with a strong customer-centric mindset.

 

This role calls for versatile profiles that have a knack for solving problems along with the ability to push new initiatives, positively challenge the status quo and make the role what they want it to be.

 

Responsibilities

As a Program Lead - Operations, you will -

  • Be responsible for building and scaling supply strategy, operation processes and execution in your region.
  • Manage large team and drive them towards optimal performance through continuous improvement - performance management, tracking and coordinating daily efforts.
  • Explore new tools and processes to scale internal and external workflows that drive over-all program productivity and also positively impact the cost levers within the LOBs.
  • Spend ample time on-field and off-field understanding the challenges on the ground and unblock them swiftly with scalable solutions. 
  • Build and manage cadence on performance reporting.

Qualifications


  • Any Bachelor or Postgraduate Degree - Completed
  • Operations Work Experience 1 - 3 Years Qualification.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with strong downward and upward communication and stakeholder management. 
  • Strong Project Management skills. ( Prior experience demonstrating Project Management & Ownership is a bonus point)
  • Knowledge or experience in Recruitment / HR industry preferred.
  • Preferred - candidates with prior experience in hypergrowth startups.
  • Managed and scaled moderate to large scale teams in prior experience
  • Highly motivated, Self-starter and Entrepreneurial attitude.
  • Should have excellent knowledge of MS-Office with sound knowledge of G-Suite tools for compiling, interpreting and communicating all quality and performance-related data and information internally as well as to the client.

Compensation

  • 4 - 8LPA CTC ( Fixed + Variable)
